Robert Half is recruiting for a Network Administrator for to fulfill a role our Calgary Client. As the successful Candidate you will provide technical knowledge and support for the Client’s in-house software, hardware and network systems. To support the business, you will ensure security, integrity, and high availability of the supported business applications. To be successful in this role, you should have a can-do attitude and are an organized problem solver with strong technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems. This role is located in the Calgary, AB. area bit is open to hybrid remote (work from office / work from home) working permissions for eligible candidates.

Job Requirements : MUST HAVES :

• 4 + years of proven working experience in related position with strong technical knowledge of network systems, OSPF (Open Shortest Path First), BGP (Border Gateway Protocol), Palo Alto (Security)
• Proficient knowledge and experience with day-to-day maintenance and change management for the network and maintaining the physical and logical security of all network infrastructure
• Excellent knowledge and working ability to anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems on servers, input / output fleet, and workstations
• Solid working experience with management of end user accounts, permissions, access rights and storage allocations in accordance with best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
• In-depth knowledge in the coordination of business applications and database administration functions with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business and technical personnel
• Excellent written communication skills with superb ability for documentation with detail and accuracy
• Self-motivated, with a desire to deliver quality service and to work independently to high standards
• Out-of-the-box" thinking and problem-solving skills along the ability to multi-task between different activities and meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Post-secondary degree in computer science, or a related field, or equivalent training
