Position Summary
The Manager Interprofessional Practice and Infection Prevention and Control supports all aspects of interprofessional practice and infection prevention and control practices at Quinte Health under the direction and support of the Director. The Manager provides clinical operational and management leadership to the team with a focus on the facilitation of evidence-based practices and ensuring all staff are working to full scope to ensure delivery of high quality and safe patient care. The IPP and IPC manager supports the development of an interprofessional educational program and engagement strategy within an integrated practice framework and environment valuing the contributions and experiences of all professional and unregulated staff. The IPP and IPC Manager promotes and facilitates a culture of professionalism leadership development and employs change management strategies to further develop the interprofessional care team delivery of care. The IPP and IPC manager represents Quinte Health at community and provincial networking opportunities and contributes to the development and alignment of team annual goals with organizational strategic aspirations. Scope includes supervisory leadership for the following positions : Professional Practice Specialists Skin & Wound Care Specialists Clinical Resource Nurses and Infection and Prevention Control Practitioners.
Required
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing Science; Masters degree preferred.
Proven ability to lead and implement change and provide education opportunities to direct care providers
Experience in a unionized environment; and
Evidence of change management and leadership skills.
Duties
In collaboration with and under the direction of the Director :
Determines the orientation needs of staff and coordinates the orientation program in conjunction with the Education Services; and
Other duties as assigned.
