This role is an Environmental Field Scientist with 4+ years of experience working in a multi-disciplinary team across British Columbia, Alberta, Northwest Territories.

The Opportunity

Our dynamic team is growing, and we have a new opportunity for an Environmental Field Scientist with 4+ years of experience to work in a multi-disciplinary team that solves complex issues for our clients throughout British Columbia. The position is with the Remediation Program Management (RPM) team, which has offices across Canada. This role will include planning, coordination, supervision of field programs and ground disturbance activities, and preparing reports following each program.

A Day in the Life

• Participate and be a member of a 14-person region‑specific delivery team, while leveraging the expertise of the entire 270-person RPM group.
• Complete fieldwork assignments centered around Central and Northern BC with opportunities to work in Alberta and Northwest Territories.
• Mentor junior staff in environmental practices including Phase 1 and 2 ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, oversight of remediation and reclamation, and on‑site‑specific health and safety.
• Execute fieldwork occasionally in remote locations.
• Work closely with Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Senior Project Directors / Technical Leads, and Field Technicians / Scientists / Engineers.
• Manage work‑life balance with a hybrid work solution of 3 days a week in the office.
• Identify project objectives, develop work instructions, health and safety plans.
• Support development and improvement of project health and safety plans guided by Zero Harm policy.
