Duties
Reporting to the Head, Management Services, or another supervisor, this position is responsible for general administrative support to NCAD / CFIA staff, and may include, without limitation, all or a combination of the following :
- Provides general administrative support to a manager / supervisor and staff.
- Provides administration, human resources, procurement, financial service and advice.
- Provides administrative support to the Manager and / or staff, including arranging meetings, making travel arrangements, drafting correspondence and maintaining records.
- Processes cost recovery in automated systems and produces scheduled and ad-hoc reports as required.
- Prepares and processes program related documents and forms required for services, such as registrations and / or licenses.

Intent of the process
The intent is to have an inventory of candidates to select from as vacancies arise for current and future needs at the National Centre for Foreign Animal Disease laboratory in Winnipeg, MB, and the Lethbridge Laboratory in Lethbridge, AB.
Employees must be available to work on site at the laboratory location; remote work is not a possibility.

Conditions of employment
Secret security clearance - Applicants who have not lived in Canada for the past five (or ten, depending on security level) years may be required to submit a police certificate from each country in which they have lived for six months or more during this period, as well as other documentation required for the security screening process.
