On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Business Analyst to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
Summary of the role :
The Business Analyst will support, develop, and maintain financial systems, particularly focusing on ERP systems, payroll modules, and data extraction.
They will work closely with other departments to ensure that the Financial Services Information Systems (FSIS) are optimized and that system security and data integrity are maintained.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Maintain and support financial applications to align with business needs and strategies.
- Assist in implementing policies and best practices for financial services software.
- Oversee system maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades, ensuring data integrity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver integrated reporting solutions.
- Provide training and support to staff on system capabilities and procedures.
Core Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience with ERP systems (Banner an asset), including payroll modules.
- Strong SQL data extraction and reporting skills.
- Experience troubleshooting within ERP systems like Banner and Chrome River.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
Desired Skills & Experience :
- Project experience, including critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic SQL query writing and report generation using tools like Cognos.
- Familiarity with databases and payroll-related data processing.
Terms :
This is a hybrid role based in Burnaby, BC, requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week. During the training period, the candidate will be required to work onsite 5 days a week.
The position offers a full-time permanent contract with benefits, including a pension, 5 weeks of vacation, extended health, free access to fitness facilities, and tution bonuses.
