KPMG's Integration Separation team, Operations M&A in Deal Advisory, helps companies to identify and deliver value from mergers and acquisitions.
We specialize in provision of services in an around the deal cycle, including pre-merger due diligence and post-merger integration.
We work with management and stakeholders to assess the impacts of a transaction and develop detailed implementation plans to help ensure the strategic reason of the acquisition or divestment is delivered.
We work with a wide range of clients, including publicly, privately and private equity held companies across a variety of industries.
What you will do
- Coordinating and supporting our clients in delivering value from their transactions, by playing a leading role on engagement teams :
- pre-day 1 planning and implementation support
- delivering rapid impact assessments
- providing function-specific advice on key separation and integration challenges
- providing input on legal documents and client plans
- Identifying and quantifying the operational impact from merging and carving-out businesses.
- Interacting and communicating effectively with senior client executives, including Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers and Chief Operating Officers, and working closely with senior client teams
- Pro-actively conduct financial and non-financial due diligence to facilitate client during integration or separation processes
- Partner with internal group members to create business development initiatives, proposals, project deliverables and set realistic timelines
- Proactively identify potential hurdles and develop options to support realization of our client's interests
- Mentor consultants and senior consultants to deliver a high quality of insight and service to our clients

What you bring to the role
The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes :
- At least 6 years of experience
- Exposure to mergers and acquisitions in a consulting, corporate, or private equity environment
- Prior experience in professional services will be viewed favorably
- MBA, CPA, CFA or equivalent qualification
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient presenter (able to synthesize and present back key information)
- Able to lead teams in dynamic, time sensitive environments
- Thorough business acumen, including financial literacy
- Excellent work ethic, confident, articulate, and a team player
- Understanding of program or project management (no formal project certification is required)
- A self-starter who works well under pressure
- Ability to quickly build effective working relationships
- Can work with ambiguity and incomplete information, under minimal supervision
- Creative problem-solver
- Good attention to detail
- High degree of personal and professional integrity
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally / internationally as required

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $111,000 to $199,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications.
In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
