Duties
Work environment
CORCAN is a Special Operating Agency within CSC and operates with a Revolving Fund. Its purpose is to aid in the safe reintegration of offenders into Canadian society by providing employability skills, employment and training opportunities, vocational certification, and employment support services to offenders.
CORCAN operates under a governance structure with a Headquarters in the National Capital Region, as well as offers offender employment and employability programs and services and sales support offered in every region of the country.
Intent of the process
A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to fill similar positions of permanent or temporary tenures at locations in the province of Quebec within Correctional Service Canada.

EXPERIENCE
Experience in the field of textile manufacturing and / or acceptable combination of experience and training

EDUCATION
Post-secondary training in a field related to the position
EXPERIENCE
Experience in transferring knowledge and skills to another person
Experience in repairing and maintaining sewing equipment and machines
Experience working with offenders in a correctional setting (institution or community)
Experience working in a garment cutting and tailoring shop and / or experience with computerized pattern systems
Experience in managing an inventory related to textile products
Experience in packing and distributing orders
Experience in using machinery to manufacture textile products
