The Opportunity
The Business Development Manager is a key execution role within Ring Rescues Commercial organization. This position is responsible for improving distributor rep performance deploying commercial enablement and providing hands-on field support for priority opportunities particularly those generated by Inside Sales.
This role works directly with a defined group of distributor reps and customers to drive consistent execution accelerate deal progression and reinforce Ring Rescues value proposition at the point of care. The Business Development Manager serves as the primary execution partner to the Director Business Development and Strategic Partnerships absorbing rep-level development enablement follow-through and select customer-facing engagement to preserve senior leadership focus on strategic growth initiatives.

Responsibilities
Distributor Rep Enablement & Development
- Own working relationships with underperforming and mid-tier distributor representatives
- Coach reps on target account selection demo execution objection handling and value-based selling
- Execute structured improvement plans informed by performance data and field observation
- Support progression of distributor reps from Tier-2 into Tier-1 performance categories
Field Support for Inside Sales-Generated Leads
Provide on-site support for Inside Sales-generated opportunities including customer meetings demos and clinical walkthroughsConduct joint calls with distributor reps to advance live opportunitiesServe as the default field support for ISR-generated leads unless escalation criteria are metReinforce consistent messaging demo quality and execution standards at the customer siteAct as a top-opportunity closer in partnership with the Director Business Development and Strategic PartnershipsEnablement Deployment & Adoption
Deploy distributor enablement toolkits playbooks and training programsEnsure adoption of Emergency Department and Fire / EMS standard-of-care positioningReinforce consumable utilization messaging and Gen 2 product value propositionsTrack training completion and enablement usage across assigned repsPerformance Management & Accountability
Partner with Sales Operations to monitor rep-level KPIs and execution metricsIdentify performance gaps and track post-training improvementPrepare performance inputs for distributor QBRs and internal reviewsField Intelligence & Feedback
Capture customer and distributor feedback from field engagementsSurface competitive insights objections and workflow barriersProvide actionable feedback to Commercial Leadership Marketing and Sales OperationsCross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate with Inside Sales on lead prioritization and handoffAlign with Marketing on enablement gaps and content needsSupport consistent execution standards across distributors and regionsWhat youll need
Qualifications
Post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience requiredExperience in medical device healthcare or complex B2B sales environments preferredDemonstrated ability to coach enable and improve sales executionStrong field presence with the ability to lead through influence rather than authorityComfort working with CRM systems performance dashboards and sales metricsExcellent communication organization and time-management skillsWillingness to travel as required to support customers and distributor partnersA little bit about us
