Overview
This is a full-time, on-site Apprentice Carpenter role based in Winnipeg, MB. The Apprentice Carpenter will assist with various carpentry tasks, including framing, finish carpentry, and general construction projects. Responsibilities include the use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment as required. The role involves following blueprints and building plans, measuring and cutting materials to specifications, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of carpentry processes, including framing and finish carpentry
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
- Physically fit and able to handle the demands of manual labor in construction environments
- Willingness to learn and develop skills under the guidance of experienced carpenters
- Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions and adhere to safety protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent; enrollment in a carpentry apprenticeship program is a plus
- Experience in a construction or labor setting is beneficial but not mandatory
