Quality & Commissioning Coordinator
Reporting directly to the Quality & Commissioning Manager, the Quality & Commissioning Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of Quality and Commissioning for Mechanical and Electrical construction projects in the Greater Toronto Area.
As a Quality & Commissioning Coordinator, you will assist the Quality and Commissioning Team in the following areas:
- Review technical engineering documents, including Drawings and Specifications
- Develop plans, checklists, and forms through Plan Group's construction management software (Procore)
- Perform basic site inspections and reports
- Witnessing start-up and test activities
- Assist with calibration and control of measuring and test equipment
- Interface with Project Delivery Teams on Quality and Commissioning related matters
- Supervision of sub-contractor field activities impacting Quality and Commissioning on project sites
- Conduct inspections, adhering to the comprehensive work package, work plan, inspection & test plan, and implementing documents. Prepare inspection reports as required
- Ensure alignment, currency, completeness, and accuracy of field conditions and quality documentation
- Verify materials control in the field, conducting receiving inspections as required
- Revise Quality Assurance governance (e.g. manuals, procedures, templates) as required
- Uphold and renew necessary certifications for compliance
- Assist in the development and implementation of new processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Coordinate Quality Management System Training for Plan Group management and operations staff
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post Secondary education
- Ability to read technical documents, including Engineering Drawings, Specifications, codes, and standards.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (excel, word) and PDF editing.
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Leadership skills and the ability to fit into a team environment.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with industrial and construction safety practices.
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Welding Technology, QA/QC, or a related discipline.
- Ability to travel within Canada as required.
