Position Posting Municipal Worker 1 - Golf Course Maintenance Summer Student (1 Position Available) Term of Employment : Full-Time, Summer Term (April 29, 2024 August 30, 2024) Rate of Pay : Student Wage Band : $17.

35 per hour (Subject to CUPE 1015 Agreement) Location : Lloydminster Golf and Curling Centre Duties : The Municipal Worker 1 performs a variety of parks and open-space maintenance, including all activities associated with turf, tree, flower and shrub bed maintenance, throughout the City of Lloydminster, in a safe and efficient manner.

Duties may also include the care of sports fields, playgrounds, and other city amenities. The Municipal Worker 1 will participate in the City of Lloydminster’s Safety Management System.

Other relevant duties may be assigned as required. Schedule : Normal working hours are Monday to Friday and shifts will vary between the hours of 6 : 00 a.

m. to 4 : 00 p.m. with the occasional requirement to work outside these hours. Weekend work is required, and shifts will vary between the hours of 5 : 00 a.

m. 10 : 00 a.m. Qualifications : The successful candidate will have the following qualifications : Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Vehicle Operator’s License (registered in Alberta or Saskatchewan) with a clear driver’s abstract.

Must be in good physical condition. Previous experience operating riding lawnmowers, push lawnmowers and string trimmers will be considered an asset.

The ability to lift up to 25 kg (50 lbs). The ability to work independently and as part of a team. This position is contingent on receiving a satisfactory criminal record check prior to start date.

Special Instructions : Applicants must be returning to school in the subsequent academic year. Verification of student status will be required.
