We are hiring for a Dispatch Coordinator for a long-term contract to support our client in Guelph, ON. The ideal candidate will be well organized, detail-oriented, energetic and have a strong knowledge of computers and able to learn new truck dispatch software quickly in a fast-paced environment.
No scale or dispatch experience is required as training will be provided.
This position requires the successful candidate to work Monday - Friday, fully onsite at the company location in Guelph.

Responsibilities
As the Dispatch Coordinator you will be responsible for :
- Handling scale operation and logistics for waste management
- Communicating with drivers through a speaker system in a commercial facility
- Completing customs paperwork and dispatching (will be trained on both)
- Prepare / send boarder paperwork, and do driver check in's
- Learning new transportation software (TRUX)
- Will be using MS Excel, Outlook and MS Teams and a daily basis
- Working in an office environment, no safety shoes required
- Required to work STAT holidays (except Christmas and Boxing Day), will rotate with other team members
Qualifications
- Previous experience in administration and / or customer service from a manufacturing, logistics / transportation environment preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment driven by deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and prioritizing skills
- Experience with computers and MS Office Suite required (Excel, Outlook and Teams)
