The Strategic Account Manager is a key player in the organization’s mission to grow and diversify their customer base. This role involves building strong relationships with existing customers while also venturing into new industries to secure new business opportunities.

Making persuasive sales calls, visiting clients, presenting quotes, and expanding the customer database, you will be part of a collaborative and talented commercial team.

The goal is to exceed customer expectations, boost brand awareness, and promote the full potential of the organization’s extensive product and service offerings.

You will drive profitable revenue growth through expertise, professionalism, and being customer focused and by promoting the sales of new and existing products and services.

Responsibilities :

  • Pursue and achieve 100% of assigned sales targets, objectives and contract increases
  • Land accounts through careful customer approaches and thoughtful sales plans
  • Develop territory strategies and account plans independently to achieve lines of business solution revenue from complex multi-year deals that drive significate customer value
  • Ensure customer needs and commitments are met continuously
  • Communicate product knowledge to all customers to ensure customers are aware of all value-add features
  • Prepare quotes using Salesforce scheduling follow-ups to quotes on a timely basis
  • Negotiate complex strategic contracts that ensure mutual value, and present churn resistant elements such as multi-year non-cancelable terms
  • Document and ensure all sales activities are entered into the CRM system by the support team
  • Work with the branch team, including inside sales, to manage and develop accounts that grow revenue
  • Implement a prospecting strategy for acquiring new accounts using business tools like , and active participation in networking events

Experience, Qualifications & Attributes

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an outside sales capacity
  • Experience in the transportation industry is an asset
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including virtual meeting skills
  • Strong organizational and computer skills - with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications & Salesforce
  • Proven record of accomplishment of success in a competitive environment
  • Good understanding of a consultative sales processes and best practices
  • High level of comfort approaching and selling to all levels of leadership
  • Exceptional presentation skills and ability to develop engaging sales content
  • Comply with the organization’s program including working in a safe and responsible manner
  • Experience working and succeeding in a fast paced, competitive industry environment
  • Motivation and ability to maintain good records, and to track activities and metrics
  • Ability to effectively influence and negotiate
  • Customer-driven mindset with record of accomplishment of exceeding customer expectations
  • Goal-oriented and results-driven with a hunter mentality
  • Strong relationship and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task and react well under pressure
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and achieve outcomes in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to foster teamwork and collaborate with all departments and internal stakeholders
