Position Description
This important role is dedicated to the support and development of our client’s cutting-edge HVAC control systems. Crafted meticulously in-house by the innovative HVAC Engineering team, these advanced systems are deployed by skilled Service Technicians across the globe.
The ideal candidate will engage deeply in the entire design process, from conception to implementation, playing a crucial role in revolutionizing their industry-specific, leading technology, that is relied upon across the globe.
- Develop and implement programs using PLC software.
- Review control system requirements and create test scenarios.
- Test control systems to ensure efficiency, safety, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot programs to resolve issues and ensure system functionality.
- Maintain and modify existing PLC programs to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Document all programming and modification activities for future reference and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical support to clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Train customers on control system operations, providing manuals and documentation as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficient with AutoCAD
- Proficient in PLC / HMI software
- Proficient in IEC 61131-3 programming languages
- Strong customer service orientation
- Effective interpersonal skills to ethically and professionally represent the company to customers and other external contacts.
- Ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical individuals.
- Strong diagnostics and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to accomplish commissioning tasks.
Education
Post-secondary degree in an engineering technologist program (preferably electrical) or electrician.
