Job Title : Procurement Coordinator - Temporary
Location : Delta, BC
Shift : Monday to Friday 8 : 30am 5 : 00pm
Salary : $28.85 / hour
Job Overview :
The Procurement Coordinator will be coordinating and administering the purchase and planning for janitorial supplies to be delivered to new and existing sites.
The successful candidate will work closely with subcontractors, operations supervisors and vendors on pricing, product reviews, evaluating requirements, placing orders, planning and scheduling products / equipment delivery.
This is a temporary position lasting from June 24, 2024, to July 31, 2024.
Key Responsibilities :
Issue purchase orders for all janitorial supplies within budget :
- Research and compare pricing between suppliers
- Negotiate pricing
- Streamline products (i.e. same gloves, mop heads etc.)
- Flag orders over budget
- Review warranties
- Review back order purchase orders weekly, follow up and cancel as required
Coordinator Repair & Maintenance on Alpine machines :
- Track and perform inventory count on parts
- Research and compare pricing between suppliers before purchasing parts
- Chargeback all parts to subcontractors
- Coordinate mechanics schedule
New Sites / Site terminations :
- Ensure all product, equipment and supplies is picked up at the end of contracts
- Order and set up new site start ups with appropriate supplies, equipment and chemical within budget
Warehouse Management :
- Keep track, coordinate and provide weekly reports of the movements in the warehouse related to Janitorial Supplies, Machines & Parts.
- Able to lift minimum 25lbs.
- Forklift license would be an asset
Monthly Reporting :
Various reports for senior management
- Inventory counts
- Sites over budgets
- Price comparisons
- Perform and track expediting of shipments
- Work closely with subcontractors, Managers and vendors on pricing / product reviews
- Coordinate all asset tracking of alpine machines in ERP system
- Conduct monthly audits of equipment and allocation
The ideal candidate would :
- Proficiency (expert) with Microsoft office products
- Background in purchasing or procurement
- Experience working with an ERP system or inventory management system would be highly desirable)
- Janitorial or supplies background would be an asset
- Quick thinker, problem solver
- ORGANIZED
- Proactive!
- Extensive knowledge of products / machines. Preferably in Janitorial Industry.
- Strong communication, negotiation and persuasion skills (with vendors)
- Keen eye for detail
- Ability to evaluate market conditions
- Effective relationship building skills
