Role : Project Manager

Duration : 6 months plus very likely extension.

Location : Burnaby (Hybrid monthly)

Our client, is looking to hire a Project Manager for a 6-month contract.

They are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong background in information security to join their team on a 6-month contract basis.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading, planning, and overseeing the execution of IT Security projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest security standards.

Your New Role

  • Lead the planning and implementation of project initiatives in information security.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties / vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties / vendors.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

What You’ll Need to Succeed :

  • Proven working experience as an IT Project Manager for at least 3-5 years.
  • Strong knowledge of information security principles and practices.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Smart Sheet proficiency is a plus.
  • PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
