FULL-TIME POSITION IN COCHRANE SMOOTH ROCK FALLS

The Cochrane Smooth Rock Falls NCAS office is looking for :
Responsibilities Include :
- Carry out assessments to ensure that the client receives the appropriate services.
- Create appropriate and realistic treatment plans to meet the client’s needs.
- Refer to other community services when needed.
- Communicate regularly with community treatment agencies to monitor the progress of the client.
- Conduct follow-ups with clients.
- Create and offer education sessions about addiction and problem gambling for the community.
Education, Experience and Skills required :
- A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, or College diploma in Social Work or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in the provision of counselling services.
- Strong clinical skills.
- Thorough understanding of the issues involved in working with substance abuse and gambling.
- Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bilingual in both English and French (written and oral).
- A valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is necessary as you may be asked to travel in the district from time to time.
