What to Expect

We are seeking a Senior Accountant for Tesla Toronto Automation to assist with all aspects of accounting, reporting and analysis for the Tesla Toronto business.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for financial and cost accounting duties. This person will work both independently in addition to alongside a small team to perform the accurate completion of the team's assignments and be responsible for the thorough execution of accounting close and financial reporting processes in a deadline focused environment.

What You'll Do

• Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close
• Prepare complete journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset schedules
• Prepare COGS analysis and maintain accurate inventory costs
• Prepare monthly financial statements and analysis in support of operating results
• Assist with internal control procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Work with multiple financial systems and utilize key interfaces and interdependencies to extract data for financial reporting needs
• Work closely with other departments on detailed project cost tracking

What You'll Bring

• CPA certification
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or equivalent
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
• Experience with large-scale accounting systems and advanced Excel expertise is preferred
• Must demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to adapt to change
• Possess a solid understanding of accounting principles and working knowledge of Canadian tax laws and US GAAP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
