Our valued client is seeking an Senior Project Manager for an initial 1-year contract (possibility for extension).
This role will require 1 day a month on-site downtown Ottawa (plus key stakeholder alignment sessions as required).
As the successful candidate you will support the Portfolio Strategy & Planning Lead with initiative and project oversight.
You will also support with alignment facilitation and implement required portfolio delivery and reporting frameworks.
Responsibilities :
- Partner with Portfolio Strategy and Planning Lead to coordinate strategic portfolio planning.
- Partner with Portfolio Strategy and Planning Lead to develop criteria for evaluation portfolio and proposals.
- Establish reporting mechanisms (including Dashboards)
- Perform day to day portfolio activities.
- Monitor progress, budgets, and schedules of initiatives and projects.
- Establish the necessary communication plan and calendar.
- Support the Portfolio Strategy and Planning Lead to mature establish and mature strategic portfolio planning framework.
- Support to establish guiding principles and procedures for the portfolio.
Must-have Skills :
- Experience as a Project Manager (or similar role) with knowledge of portfolio management methodologies.
- Experience working in an agile / scrum methodology .
- PMP or PfMP certification
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience within Planview Modules and / or Azure DevOps
- Experience working in a financial, insurance, and / or crown corporation environment.
- Experience with PowerBI
