Robert Half is recruiting now for an experienced Security Analyst to fulfill an opportunity with our Edmonton Client. As the successful candidate you will be accountable for identifying, assessing, monitoring, detecting, investigating, researching, and responding to threats and incidents impacting the security information assets in both on-premise and cloud environments. To be successful in this role, you should have expert-level knowledge securing Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365 services and an individual who is passionate about ensuring and maintaining latest Microsoft security and technology developments. This role is based in Edmonton, AB. But is open to hybrid (work from home/work from office) remote work concessions.

Job Requirements:

MUST HAVES:

• 5 + years working experience in a similar role with hands-on experience in IT security and a minimum of three years’ experience in cloud security
• Demonstrated proficiency in securing Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365 services
• Solid experience in information security related to administration and change controls and implementation of policies and permissions in a multistakeholder environment
• High degree of attention to detail as well as the ability to understand complex technical concepts and ability to maintain broad and in-depth technical knowledge of all aspects of servers and desktop operating systems
• Strong working experience with scripting technologies, including VBScript and PowerShell
• In-depth knowledge of multiple technology platforms, including but not limited to server, desktop, mobile computing devices and desktop virtualization
• Ability to be interact and communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders
• "Out-of-the-box" thinking and problem-solving skills along with the ability to multi-task.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and the capacity to quickly make business valuable business decisions
• Excellent knowledge of current industry best practices and ability to be forward-looking to technology trends and developments
• A Degree or Diploma in Information Technology from a recognized post-secondary institute
• Microsoft Certification, Security certifications such as CISSP, GCIA, GCIH and CEH are an asset
