Our client in the Automotive Industry is in search of an experienced Human Resources Manager , to support their dynamic and growing team.
Please note, this role is 5 days on-site based in downtown Toronto.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee full cycle recruitment inclusive of postings, pre-screens & interviews, partnering with hiring managers, drafting offer letters, and other administrative tasks as needed
- Facilitate onboarding for all new hires, working alongside hiring managers to ensure new team members are effectively integrated into the company culture and work environment
- Investigate and resolve employee relations matters in collaboration with Managers
- Work alongside the Senior Leadership Team with regard to strategic people planning, headcount forecasting, and budgeting
- Coaching & counselling Executive Team and Line Managers
- Support HR operational functions including but not limited to benefits, compensation, training, health and safety, disability management, hiring and terminations
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders in the development of employee training and development programs
- Review and update HR / company policies and procedures, including the employee handbook
- Develop and implement Employee Engagement programs, as well as, the coordination of all Employee gatherings / events
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices to enhance HR programs and processes
- Administer and coordinate employee annual salary reviews, commission plans, and bonuses, in collaboration with the Finance team
- Administer progressive disciplinary action and performance management in accordance with established procedures
- Administer employee satisfaction surveys
- Update and maintain Company policies in accordance with applicable labour laws or regulations in respective locations
- Coach people managers, empowering them to effectively manage their teams according to HR best practices
- Ensure employees adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years as an HR Professional in Generalist roles, preferably with Automotive experience
- Very comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic, and hands-on environments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Strong understanding of current HR best practices, Canadian Labour Laws & Legislation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proactive, self-starter who is driven by strategic, solutions-focused thinking
- CHRP or CHRL preferred
- Valid G License with a clean driving record
