Scheduler & Dispatcher-CHW Program – Canadian Red Cross
Location : In-person (Sudbury, ON)
Employment Status : Temporary Full-time
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain the scheduling system for the program.
- Coordinate and dispatch staff and volunteers to support daily operations, ensuring they have the necessary tools and information.
- Monitor and track resource availability and deployment, ensuring all dispatches are well‑coordinated and effectively managed.
- Monitor inventory levels of equipment and supplies, and place orders as needed.
- Collaborate with other CRC teams and external partners to ensure client service delivery is timely and effective.
- Provide timely and accurate progress reports on scheduling, deployment, and activities as required.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry and record keeping.
- Receive client intake calls to determine eligibility and complete intake documentation within the client record.
Qualifications
Minimum 1–2 years of experience and a 1–2 year college diploma, post‑secondary certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.Ability to apply standard methods and select among options to resolve routine problems.Strong communication and influencing skills, clarifying policies, processes, and services effectively.Experience managing schedules and coordinating resources to maintain smooth operations.Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing demands.Compassion, empathy, and understanding for individuals with differing cognitive and physical abilities.Bilingualism in English and French is required.Working Conditions
