Responsibilities
- Coach team members on Safety, Quality, and Productivity to ensure objectives are met by adhering to standardized work.
- Optimize production throughput in alignment with budget and cost objectives.
- Monitor ANDON occurrences and serve as the initial responder for secondary support.
- Verify the production line’s safe and smooth operation and its output of quality parts through Process Confirmation.
- Support Kaizen initiatives and coach problem resolution at the lowest possible level.
- Meet targets for First Time Through (FTT), inventory, cost, scrap, supply, and tooling expenses. Build the capability of both Team Leaders and Team Members.
- Create a conducive work environment that enables teams to complete their assigned responsibilities and tasks. Ensure effective communication and recognition within the team.
- Perform basic administration of supervisory duties and documentation.
Qualifications – Essential
College Diploma or Skilled‑Trade Certificate of Qualification (CoQ). Proof of completion must be provided. If earned outside Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is required.2+ years’ experience working on production lines.1+ year experience supervising a unionized workforce and understanding of a Collective Bargaining Agreement.Ability to work independently with limited supervision.Availability to work in shifts (morning / afternoon / evening) as required.Qualifications – Desirable
Bachelor’s Degree with proof of completion. Canadian equivalency assessment required if earned outside Canada.Experience in body shop, stamping, paint, subassembly, or machining.Safety and Quality experience.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and constraint management principles.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Prior experience managing a unionized workforce.Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining experience (specific to Power Take‑Off).Helium leak stand experience (specific to Power Take‑Off).Adept problem‑solving and conflict management skills.Effective organizational and administrative capabilities.The expected annual salary range for this position is $74,000 – $124,000. Individuals may be eligible to participate in our Annual Compensation bonus program.
