On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking an Accounts Receivable Administrator for a 6 month contract, in Calgary, AB.

Accounts Receivable Administrator Job Details

The Accounts Receivable Administrator will be responsible for achieving the goals of the department while fostering an environment of high performance. As a key member of the Finance team, you will contribute your expert knowledge to ensure that accounting activities comply with generally accepted accounting principles, trust law, regulatory requirements and industry practices.

Accounts Receivable Administrator Responsibilities

• Recording and posting of payments using Shaw’s payment application program in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Ensuring Accounts Receivable Legers are balanced weekly and before month end
• Processing of monthly adjustments as assigned
• Occasional involvement in opening of mail and listing in Deposit Summary
• Resolving payment issues and client inquiries in a timely manner and entering notes in the system for record keeping
• Electronic filing and maintenance
• Respond to audit inquiries in a timely manner.
• Special projects as assigned.
• Other financial duties as required

Accounts Receivable Administrator Must Have Skills

• 8+ years’ experience in an Accounts Receivable role
• 3-year diploma/degree in Business or an equivalent combination of education and experience with a concentration in accounting
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Advanced Excel skills
• Previous business to business insurance experience is an asset but not required
• Demonstrated proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize
• Previous experience within a dynamic team will be given preference
• Demonstrated behaviors showing initiative and follow-up skills
• Proven ability to contribute to and work well within a fast-paced and high-volume team environment
