Virtual Health Hub is a highly innovative, Indigenous-led healthcare delivery project designed to increase the availability of services to Saskatchewan’s northern and rural communities, and beyond.
The VHH is a full-funded partnership of the Canadian Federal and Saskatchewan Provincial governments.
Saskatchewan’s Virtual Health Hub (VHH) is preparing for full-operational readiness in the fall of 2026, but the corporate challenge and opportunity starts today with the recruitment, hiring and onboarding of the first executive, the Chief Financial Officer.
Currently operating out of facilities at the University of Saskatchewan and Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technology, the VHH allows remote Saskatchewan residents to receive critical diagnostic medical care in their home communities, saving many days of travel and thousands of dollars in expenses.
Patients are seen in real-time in their own communities or their own home using virtual care.
THE CFO will build an operational team for the brand-new facility, located at Whitecap Dakota First Nation, just 20 minutes south of Saskatoon.
Further work to build the new entity’s corporate structure, policies and procedures will be critical to scaling the organization to reach its operational goals.
Focuses will include pricing strategies, protecting and leveraging internal innovations and data to benefit the VHH and developing partnerships that provide value to the mission of the VHH.
The ideal candidate will have experience building a team from start-up to operational launch. This leader will be able to demonstrate a proven ability to action and deliver on strategic planning & goal setting with successful results, along with an aptitude for financial management.
This position requires a people-focused leader that places a high value on communication, effective team dynamics and interpersonal skills.
