Education :
Graduation with an engineering degree* from a recognized post-secondary institution in an engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
Scanned copy of degree or final transcript is required).
A degree is defined as a baccalaureate, Masters or PhD in engineering as established by educational authorities. The degree must clearly state Engineering in the title eg.
Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical, or Bachelor of Applied Science Electrical Engineering. Degrees that do not include the word Engineering are not acceptable, unless attestation is provided by the University that the degree is, in fact, an engineering degree.
Note also, that some degrees are provided by the Engineering department and are not necessarily engineering degrees. Hence the requirement to have Engineering on the degree itself.
Foreign credentials must be recognized by The Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials.
Engineering Experience
EN-ENG-02 - There are no years of engineering experience required (after graduation) to apply for an ENG-02 position. This level is suited to new graduates, or to candidates with engineering degrees who have never worked as an engineer.
EN-ENG-03 - At least one year of engineering experience, after graduation, is required to apply for an EN-ENG-03 position.
Other - If you already have four or more years of engineering experience, you may qualify for the EN-ENG-04 Continuous Pool (Non-Advertised).

Organizational Needs
As a result of workforce adjustment, affected indeterminate DND employees within the Aerospace Engineering Test Establishment (AETE - UIC 2671) at 4 Wing Cold Lake or within the British Army Training Unit Suffield (BATUS UIC 7777) at Canadian Forces Base Suffield will be appointed or deployed to positions for which they are qualified ahead of other candidates.
