Our client is recognized industry leader across North America for their innovative range of high-quality building materials that are used for high-end residential and niche commercial projects.
With a solid reputation, active clientele, and projects spanning the region, we are actively seeking a dedicated Architectural Specification Representative to manage client relationships and promote the brand throughout the Northeastern US territory (working from Toronto with 1 week of travel per month to the US).
This exciting opportunity has emerged as a result of an internal promotion, and the role will be based out of the Greater Toronto Area or any location with convenient access to Pearson Airport.
As an Architectural Specification Representative, you will be pivotal in cultivating and strengthening relationships with existing clients and project stakeholders while also identifying and securing new business opportunities.
Focused primarily on Architects and Designers within the high-end residential and niche commercial sectors across the Northeastern US, your responsibilities will include identifying, qualifying, and generating demand and support, while building a robust project pipeline with prospective architectural and design firms.
This position presents an exciting opportunity, crafted through internal advancement, to make a significant impact in driving business growth and fostering client relationships in this key region.
Key Responsibilities :
- Cultivate and foster relationships with existing clients and project stakeholders, specifically Architects specializing in high-end residential and niche commercial projects, including historic buildings, hotels, government facilities, higher education, state parks, places of worship, and specialty congregate housing.
- Identify, assess, and stimulate demand among prospective architectural and design firms catering to premium construction projects.
- Monitor specification portals for upcoming and future projects, following leads for premium projects.
- Facilitate clear communication for projects, including responding to requests for proposals (RFPs) and outlining specifications for upscale residential and niche commercial developments.
- Deliver captivating presentations and meet quarterly targets for Lunch & Learns and Continuing Education Unit (CEU) presentations tailored to targeted audiences.
- Provide support for project designs by offering guided information, samples, and product specifications suitable for projects.
- Efficiently manage clients within the territory across the Northeastern United States.
Requirements :
- Completed post-secondary education, with a focus on Interior Design, Architecture, Business, Marketing or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated success in sales or business development, preferably within the construction or building materials industry, with a track record of selling premium products.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with discerning clientele.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Capacity to work independently and remotely from a home office in the GTA (75%), with regular travel to the Northeastern US - 1 week per month.
- Organized with some experience using CRM software will be advantageous.
- Valid passport and able to travel to the US regularly without restriction.
- Valid driver's license
Location and Travel : This role is based in the Toronto Area, or any location with easy access to Toronto Pearson airport.
The successful candidate will spend approximately 1 week per month traveling to the Northeast region of the USA, with the rest of the role executed from a home office.
