Role Summary
As the International Business Development Manager , you will play a critical role in managing and expanding Gleener's global presence. This Montreal-based position involves building and nurturing strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key stakeholders, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring smooth and effective sales operations across international markets, especially within Europe and Asia.
With opportunities for international travel to meet partners, attend trade shows, and explore new markets, this role is perfect for a dynamic, culturally savvy individual with a passion for global business development.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Growth
- Serve as the primary contact for European and Asian distributors, fostering trust and collaboration to drive mutual success.
- Analyze sales performance data to identify trends, create action plans, and address challenges.
- Strategically identify and pursue new business opportunities, including alternative supply routes or partnerships.
Distributor Support & Coordination
Equip distributors with relevant sales data, market insights, and marketing resources to enhance their success.Proactively respond to customer inquiries, manage order processing, and maintain clear, timely communication across all channels.Stay updated on retail landscapes in assigned regions, using market insights to influence growth strategies.Event Representation & Market Development
Represent Gleener at international trade shows, including planning pre-show meetings and delivering compelling product demonstrations.Build and maintain networks within the housewares and retail industries to identify key stakeholders and maintain updated contact information for retailers and distributors.Collaboration & Strategic Alignment
Work closely with marketing to develop tailored presentations, sales materials, and promotional campaigns.Act as the liaison between distributors, internal teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficient problem-solving.Requirements :
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Account / Sales position is required, ideally within retail or consumer goods.Experience managing global accounts, an asset.You love exploring new markets and thrive in diverse cultural environments.Self-starter : You have a proactive mindset and take initiative to drive results.You work collaboratively and contribute to a positive team dynamic.You are highly organized and excel at prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.You’re a strong communicator, confident and effective when interacting with stakeholders at all levels.You are detail-oriented; accuracy is your strength, whether managing data or coordinating resources.Familiarity with European retail or housewares is an asset.Why Join Gleener?
