We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. In this fast-paced environment, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for locating, moving, stages and loads outgoing material and unloads and moves incoming material to designated areas according to the client’s SOW requirement, registration and company procedure, and maintaining the accuracy of shipment logs. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure, operate independently and as part of a team, and be detail oriented.
Key Responsibilities :
Shipping
- Prepare documentations such as pick lists, bills of ladings, custom invoices and shipping orders while maintaining open orders with priority of the purchase contract
- Dispatch freight and contact carrier representatives to plan and issue shipping and delivery instructions
- Prepare and select appropriate shipping container for materials shipments and pack materials to ensure safe delivery
- Locate, weigh-out, stage and load outgoing items as directed by the Supervisor
- Check materials to be shipped against work orders to ensure quantities, destinations and routings are correct
- Perform physical cycle counts of materials to be shipped
- Communicate with customers and carriers to ensure that freight is scheduled in a timely and commercially efficient manner
Receiving
Receive incoming material shipments in accordance with company procedures including primary incoming shipment inspection, documentation and material controlMaintain the Shipping / Receiving schedule up to dateInspect shipments for damages or defects; record discrepancies or damaged and notify SupervisorCoordinate with Account Managers for incoming logistics, with considerations between ELP, GTMS lots and internal workflow processesDocument and rectify or escalate any customer service issues such as damages, shortages, non-conformance to specifications etcOther
Follow non-conformance procedures : manage quarantined inventory along with customer informationEnsure accuracy of material classification using internal inventory system.Navigate internal inventory system (ELP) to produce reports as requiredPromptly respond to internal and external inquiresMaintain confidentiality of all Customer, Supplier, and Company informationEnsure to work with / use security measures, procedures, and devices as requiredParticipate in training as required and apply knowledge gained through training on the jobQualifications :
1-3 years experience preferred in shipping and receivingExperience with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel.Ability to handle heavy loads up to 50 lbs.Ability to bend, crouch, kneel.Ability to stand for extended periods.Previous forklift experience is an asset but not required.We Offer :
