The Company

PSI Engineering manufactures and integrates automated pack and sortation systems for high volume warehouse and distribution centers who serve the business to consumer (B2C) market, drastically improving throughput and accuracy while reducing labor costs.

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for both customer and internal projects execution to goals, budget and schedule, ensuring project execution success.

In this role you will provide leadership to ensure successful delivery of projects that are executed by PMO, ensuring strong project communication, integration, meeting project scope expectations, cost, schedule, and quality objectives throughout the

project life cycle.

Duties And Responsibilities :

  • Follow-up on requests both internal and external with urgency.
  • Develop project cost and schedule baseline ensuring commitments from functional groups.
  • Manage and update project budgets and schedules.
  • Ensure contract requirements are understood, and customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate the work activities of project plans. (Plan-Do-Check-Act)
  • Monitor project risk and recommend mitigation strategies. Undertake initiatives to exploit opportunities to increase project value to the company and the Customer.
  • Monitor and manage project changes and where appropriate issues Change Notices for Customer Approval.
  • Determine resource needs related to project execution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems within multi-departments and / or cross-functional areas.
  • Lead and be proponent of change management – encourage change and creative problem solving.
  • Resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Facility implementation of lessons learned.
  • Collect project requirements, develop scope definition, and establish high-level project goals and objectives for the project team in alignment with project contract documents and the Customer.
  • Track and manage project critical path activities and deliverables on regular cadence, on time.
  • Provide project leadership and manage project execution.
  • Ensure project quality objectives are met by developing a quality plan and performing quality checks (e.g. specification approvals, Factory &

Site acceptance equipment tests).

  • Maintain appropriate records related to all areas of projects.
  • Build and maintain a professional working relationship with customers.
  • Initiate and integrate projects across all functional groups including the Customer’s team.
  • Identify key project stakeholders and manage project stakeholders’ expectations within the project business case constraints.
  • Report project progress to the Senior Management.
  • Approve project invoicing according to the milestone payment schedule and work completed.
  • Initiate, manage, or delegate management of subcontracts and subcontracted deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Functional Managers to meet project resource requirements while ensuring optimum resource allocation across multiple PMO projects is achieved.
  • Perform project close-out according to the contractual acceptance criteria.
  • Other duties as required relevant to the role or assigned by the manager.

Qualifications :

  • Must have a sense of urgency and a drive to follow-up on requests both internal and external.
  • Excellent and experienced communicator at all levels of the organization
  • Well organized with a positive approach to Company’s standard operating procedures (SOP) and departmental policies.
  • Excellent documentation maintenance skills.
  • Relentless drive for continuous improvement and cost savings.
  • Hand-on approach to problem-solving with finding the root cause and “dig deep” analysis attitude.
  • Practices rigorous objectivity & cultivates balanced optimism.
  • Strong user of MS Excel and other MS Office programs.
  • Good, working knowledge of MS Project or similar scheduling software.
  • Good understanding of AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of controls project development.
  • Experience with Automated systems from a control engineering perspective.

Education, Skills & Experience :

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in the delivery of Controls Automation solutions
  • 8+ years of experience in controls, IT, PLC systems integration
  • Technical and business aptitude supported by a degree or diploma in engineering.
  • Quality management training, six sigma a plus.
  • Formal Project Management training is a requirement.
