Title : Senior Facilities Technician

Contract : Permanent

Hours : 37.5 hours a week

Location : Vancouver, B.C. (Remote working may be an option in line with FNHA’s flexible work policy - minimum 50% in the office).

Bargaining Unit : PSAC (Public Service Alliance of Canada)

About the role

As SENIOR FACILITIES TECHNICIAN, you will assists First Nations communities and First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) staff in planning, organizing, and implementing maintenance programs for health facilities and related infrastructure, and performs and / or coordinates detailed building condition reports.

You have accountabilities and report provincially on how work assignments are complete, including maintenance and repair standards, records management practices, facility inspection and reporting requirements, and training and certification standards.

About you

You have basic knowledge of First Nations traditions and etiquette. You know the theories, techniques and practices of building trades and computer controlled systems.

You have a clear knowledge of inspection methods and the principles and methods of construction and system maintenance.

Education & Experience

  • You have completed Grade 10 and a Certificate of Apprenticeship in a Trade Program recognized by Industry Training Association (ITA) in the Province of BC.
  • You have four (4) years of experience in the field of construction, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

You may have experience in; Construction, Plumbing, Masonry etc.
