We have an exciting opportunity for a Municipal/Civil engineering Member-in-Training to join our Saint John NB office. The ideal candidate will enjoy working within a team environment with a highly capable group of established multi-disciplinary professionals working towards innovation and constant improvement of the services and products we deliver to our clients. CBCL operates a multi-disciplinary environment where all aspects of a project are considered for optimal sustainable solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of conceptual preliminary and detailed designs and drawings for the full range of civil/municipal infrastructure including water distribution sanitary sewer collection systems pump stations stormwater management roadway systems etc.
• Provide resident services on construction sites with the support of senior team members;
• Carry out site observations and data collection activities including topographic survey flow metering and infrastructure investigations;
• Support the day-to-day activities of projects from inception through engineering construction and contract administration; and
• Prepare technical reports and cost estimates.

Your Capabilities and Credentials:

• Have recently earned a Degree in Civil Engineering and be registered or have the ability to register as a Member-in-Training with APEGNB;
• Have an interest in municipal and civil site development construction projects;
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D InfraWorks SketchUp and ArcMap would be an asset;
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Possess strong interpersonal organization and time management skills;
• Have the ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment;
• Hold a valid drivers license have reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites.
