Job descriptionOversee the development of hydroelectric projects in collaboration with Indigenous partners,including coordinating external consultants and ensuring project alignment with mutualobjectives. Participate in feasibility studies, partnership structure planning, and financial modeling forrenewable energy projects.Collaboration Provide support to the team during strategic planning and investment approvals from RTinternal committees and senior leadership team. Collaborate with internal departments as needed to ensure project alignment with RT bestpractices and standards Collaborate with internal teams in RT operations during technical planning, systeminterconnection, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder management to ensure cohesiveproject execution. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills & presentation abilities in both English andFrench.
Our Client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Renewable Energy Manager to join our Energy and Climate team. This role is critical to managing the development ofrenewable energy projects, particularly wind energy, through collaboration with partners andconsultants. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing wind project development,ensuring alignment with clients strategic energy needs and load growth projections in Canada
Reporting to the Director Energy Development Canada, you will be responsible for : Wind Project Development
- Lead the development of utility-scale wind energy projects, managing our renewable energypartners through all project phases, including siting, permitting, interconnection, and externalstakeholder engagement.
- Ensure project alignment with Clients energy strategy, including regional energy load needs and decarbonization goals.
- Facilitate collaboration between internal and external stakeholders, providing technicaloversight and decision-making to maintain project progress and mitigate risks.
- Act as a primary liaison between Rio Tinto and the renewable energy partner, ensuring timelydelivery of milestones and adherence to contractual obligations.
