- Recreation vehicle technicians examine, troubleshoot and diagnose units needs repair and maintenance. They install, repair and maintain interior and exterior components on motor homes, travel trailers, fifth wheels truck campers, tent trailers and van conversions.
- Duties man include;
o Preforming pre-delivery inspections
o Reading and writing repair orders
o Troubleshooting
o Repair and maintenance on propane gas and electric appliances such as furnaces, refrigerators, water heaters, ranges and a / c units.
o Repairs to fiberglass and / or body and structural components
o Ability to install, repair, replace and maintain, roofs, siding, windows, doors, vents, awning, floor coverings, cabinets, counters, plumbing systems, electrical systems, propane gas systems, batteries and charging systems.
While we do not repair engines or drive train components of motorized vehicles, they may be installation of hitches, wiring of tow vehicles and perform maintenance and repairs on trailer frames, undercarriage and suspension.Use testing equipment, troubleshooting techniques, manufacturers’ specifications, and internet websites to assist in locating faults and performing repairs.Use computerized and electronic devices for testing components.Communicate with supervisors, manufacturers and consumers to ensure timely, efficient and economical repairs.Works closely with the Service Advisor and Shop Foreman on preparing for final deliveryTake the purchaser on a pre-delivery inspection of the RV by demonstrating use of equipment and components
Pay is dependent on experience and education
