Home Day Care Home Visitor

Our client is looking for aHome Visitor to join their team! Our client is the largest home daycare system in Canada with over 30 years of experience inmonitoring supporting and assessing Licensed Home Day Cares.

Thisposition is working with the Franchise in the Kitchener area.

This role will work closely with providers the agency and parents.This includes visiting Home Day Cares to ensure that they meetlegal regulations nutritional standards and proper programs for theage and stage of the childs development.

Compensation :

$23.00 $25.00 per hour (plusadditional wage enhancement grant of$2.00)

Monday to Friday 8 : 30am 4 : 30pm

Travel :

Thisposition will require travelling through the Kitchener Cambridgeand Waterloo area

Responsibilities

• Performunannounced visits to the provider on a regular basis to interactwith the children to ensure their needs are being met in a safemanner a program is in place and all regulations are beingfollowed.
• Document the results makerecommendations and followup on areas ofdeficiencies.
• Complete both internaland external checklists including from the Ministry ofEducation.
• Ensure Serious OccurrenceProcedures are in place and respond to serious occurrences asrequired.
• Coach providers on bestpractices and child development as well as provide overallguidance.
• Responsibility for annualreviews planning workshops and other relatedtasks.
• Complete orientations for newenrollments.
• Provide referrals toagencies and supporting parents asrequested.

Requirements

• Experienceas a teacher child care or related position isrequired.
• RECEDesignation is anasset.
• Detailoriented and a comfortable level with significant amounts ofpaperwork isimportant.
• Mustbe comfortable and enjoy being around and working withchildren.
• Musthave your own car and a valid driverslicense.
• Organizedwith good communication iskey.
• Officeexperience is a strongasset.
