Job Description :

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Administrator specializing in VMware and Nutanix to join our team. As a Senior VMware and Nutanix Administrator, you will be responsible for the management and optimization of our virtualization infrastructure, with a focus on VMware and Nutanix technologies.

Proficiency in both English and French is essential, as communication and collaboration with team members and stakeholders will be in both languages.

Key Responsibilities :

  • VMware and Nutanix Virtualization Management : Administer, configure, and optimize VMware and Nutanix virtualization environments to ensure optimal performance and high availability.
  • Storage Infrastructure : Manage the storage infrastructure associated with VMware and Nutanix environments to ensure storage efficiency and resilience.
  • Security and Compliance : Implement security and compliance measures to protect data and resources in virtualized environments.
  • Technical Support : Provide high-level technical support to resolve complex virtualization-related issues.
  • Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation of virtualization configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams to support projects and initiatives involving virtualization.
  • Capacity Planning : Evaluate resource needs and plan scalability to accommodate growth and evolving requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications :

  • Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of practical experience as a VMware and Nutanix administrator.
  • VMware (e.g., VCP-DCV) or Nutanix (e.g., NCAP) certification strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in both English and French.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, storage systems, and IT security.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and solve complex problems.
  • Commitment to working on-site for at least 2 days per week for team collaboration.

Skill Set

Required :

  • 5+ years of practical experience as a VMware and Nutanix administrator.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, storage systems, and IT security.
  • Proficiency in both English and French.
  • Availability to work on-site for at least 2 days per week for team collaboration.
  • Work will commence around mid-February.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • The candidate must live in or around Montréal, Boucherville, Québec, Lévis, or Saint-Georges.

Asset :

VMware certification (such as VCP-DCV) or Nutanix certification (such as NCAP) strongly preferred.
