Role Description
We are helping one of our clients in the crypto space in Toronto, Canada with this role. Our client is a leading cryptocurrency trading platform based in Toronto, Canada.
Their commitment to compliance and innovation in the rapidly evolving crypto market makes them a significant player in the industry.
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Management Trainee to join their team as a prospective Chief Operating Officer (COO).
The selected candidate will undergo a rigorous rotational training program across various departments for 1-2 years. Upon successful completion and meeting the performance benchmarks, the candidate will be promoted to the role of COO of the company with a competitive compensation package including potential stock incentives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Rotate through different departments within the company to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business operations and strategic objectives.
- Participate actively in strategic projects and daily operations to develop leadership and managerial skills.
- Work closely with the CEO and other senior executives to receive direct mentorship and guidance.
- Contribute to the improvement of operational processes and the implementation of new systems.
- Prepare and present reports on progress and insights during the rotational period to senior management.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a reputable university with excellent academic record.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in the traditional finance sector, such as banking or investment banking, or relevant co-op experience during university.
- Strong passion for the crypto / web3 industry with a long-term commitment to grow within this field.
- Demonstrable leadership capabilities and excellent problem-solving skills.
- High ethical standards and no prior compliance violations, especially within the cryptocurrency sector.
- Ability to manage work-life balance effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience in a similar role or industry is a plus
- Must be fluent in Mandarin Chinese to effectively communicate with partners, clients and manage bilingual documentation
