We are seeking PSWs for an LTC home in Barrie.

We are seeking part-time individuals who are able to commit to working bi-weekly weekend shifts.

Occasional extra shifts will be available for pick-up during the week.

Hours will vary from part-time to full-time hours based on facility needs.

Job Benefits : Competitive pay at $21 (+ $3 PSW wage enhancement) = $24 / hr Benefits Plan available after working 30+ hours per week

• 4% Vacation Pay on every pay Flexible hours The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following : Providing resident-focused care that meets the needs of residents Maintaining open communication with residents and their families Assisting with personal care including eating, dressing, transferring, toileting, hygiene, grooming, and bathing as per residents’ care plans Monitoring and noting any changes to patient care plans Providing medication support and management Providing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support   Providing oral and dental care   Responding to all emergency situations All other duties, as assigned Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to : PSW certification (NACC certificate required if graduated from a private college) Valid CPR certificate Completion of Police Vulnerable Sector Check Satisfactory professional references A minimum of 1 year experience working in a LTC facility is required Experience using Point of Care (POC) is required Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters Please submit the appropriate documents for review.  Questions?
