About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Director, Marketing Programs to make sure DAVIDsTEA’s brand and marketing initiatives show up for our customers in an integrated, seamless manner, on time and in full. You’ll make sure every member of the marketing team has clarity on what they own, what they owe others, and when it’s due, across Website, Paid digital, Brand, Social, Email, Creative, and Product. You’ll own the integrated calendar, the workback schedules, and the prioritization process that turn good ideas into well-executed launches. This is a business-minded marketing role, not a creative or brand-strategy role. You’re pragmatic, structured, and proactive, you ask the direct question until the answer is clear, and you don’t wait to be told.

Responsibilities
Clarity & Accountability
Make sure every contributor on every major initiative is explicit on deliverables, owner, format, and deadline, and chase open questions and missing inputs until resolved
Hold stakeholders accountable for on-time, in-full delivery of briefs, approvals, and assets, and escalate early when timelines are at risk
Flag risks early with a recommended resolution, not just a status update
Planning & Delivery
Own the integrated marketing calendar and build workback schedules for all major initiatives, with named owners, milestones, and dependencies
Run intake and capacity planning for the Creative team and agencies: scope and sequence requests, match demand to capacity, and track delivery against agreed scope, volumes, and deadlines
Continuously improve planning processes, templates, and tools
Prioritization
Facilitate prioritization using a consistent framework tied to KPIs and business outcomes, with tradeoffs laid out for decision-makers
Require a defined success measure and measurement plan for every major initiative before it enters the calendar, with proxy measures for brand and awareness work
Make capacity limits visible and bring prioritization conflicts to leadership for decision
Cross-functional Connection
Run a standing planning rhythm across all marketing functions, with clear agendas and follow-through
Maintain a single brief template and a handoff standard for creative assets and key visuals
Bring Product (assortment, merchandising, and launches) into the plan early
Reporting
Report on-time, in-full rate, capacity utilization, and initiative status to leadership on a regular cadence
What this role does not do: set creative direction, define brand strategy, own channel performance
So are YOU our next Senior Director, Marketing Programs?
Requirements
Who you are
A business-minded marketer: commercially oriented, process-driven, and more interested in how work gets delivered and what it returns than in the creative idea itself
Pragmatic and detail-oriented, and a self-starter who figures things out rather than waiting for direction
Comfortable asking the direct question, chasing the answer, and holding colleagues at every level to shared commitments
Comfortable running many concurrent launches against fixed deadlines
Energized by improving how work gets done, not maintaining the status quo
What you’ve done
7+ years in marketing operations, marketing planning, or marketing program management, ideally in retail, ecommerce, CPG, or DTC
Run multi-team calendars and workback schedules across concurrent campaigns and launches
Used KPIs and basic P&L thinking to make prioritization tradeoffs
Worked fluently across marketing disciplines (brand, social, email, paid, creative production) without having been a creative or brand marketer
Used project and workflow tools (Wrike, Asana, Monday, or similar)
Written clear briefs and concise status updates
