Role Summary
PTW is seeking 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Year Indentured Electrical Apprentices to join our team in the Lower Mainland, BC. In this role, you will support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems on a variety of industrial and commercial projects. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will gain valuable hands-on experience while contributing to safe, high-quality project execution.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and eager to develop their skills as part of a professional team. A strong work ethic, commitment to quality workmanship, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications
- Perform inspections and ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Complete job documentation, reports, and maintenance records accurately
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, project teams, and other trades
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment
Qualifications / Requirements
- Must be a registered Indentured Electrical Apprentice (enrolled through a recognized and accredited apprenticeship authority or training agency).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as within a team environment
- Reliable and dependable with strong attendance and punctuality
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety
- Valid safety certifications required:
- CSTS-20
- Fall Protection
- AWP
- WHMIS 2015
- Valid driver's license required
Compensation & Benefits
- Electrical Apprentice wages range from $31.00 to $40.50 per hour, commensurate with apprenticeship level and relevant industry experience.
- Shift: 5/2
- Working hours: 10 hours per day
- Overtime paid after 8 hours
