Columbia Basin Trust is seeking a Manager, Information Technology, to join our team. This position is responsible for the operational oversight, planning and continuous improvement of the Trust's information technology infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity and staff management. This role supports budget development, technology lifecycle management, procurement and infrastructure upgrades for all Trust Information Services initiatives. If you have experience in industrial operational technology and are driven to support a high-performance team, we'd love to hear from you!This is a permanent, full-time position based in Castlegar, where you'll enjoy a collaborative and supportive team environment and the unique lifestyle of the West Kootenay region.The salary range for this position is $111,500 – $131,100.Reporting to the Senior Manager, Information Services, you will:Lead strategic planning, operations, security, and continuous improvement of IT infrastructure, telecommunications, cloud services, and cybersecurity programs across multiple locations.Oversee IT operations, including helpdesk services, hardware and software lifecycle management, vendor contracts, procurement, budgeting, and service delivery.Ensure reliable, secure, and compliant IT services at hydro generation facilities, supporting North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) reliability and cybersecurity standards.Monitor network performance, system reliability, security posture, and incident response efforts while driving proactive risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.Manage and deliver IT projects, including business case development, resource planning, risk mitigation, implementation, and stakeholder reporting.Develop and track IT performance metrics and provide regular reporting and recommendations to senior leadership.Lead, coach, and support IT team members through performance management, workforce planning, and professional development.What We're Looking ForBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.At least 5 years of progressive IT experience, including 2-3 years in a leadership, supervisory or management role.Strong technical expertise in Azure cloud technologies, Intune, SCCM, network infrastructure, firewalls and hyperconverged servers.Proven experience managing IT operations in a multi-site environment, including helpdesk services, service delivery and end-user support.Solid knowledge of cybersecurity practices, vulnerability management and security awareness programs.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Experience leading technology projects and applying project management methodologies such as Agile, PRINCE2 or Waterfall.Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence with an acceptable driving record.Proven knowledge of and experience with operational technology, budgeting, procurement and vendor management.ITIL, CISSP, CISM and Security+ certifications and AI governance experience are considered assets.Why Join Us?Collaborative Culture: Work in a dedicated, accountable and professional environment.Professional Growth: Access training and development opportunitiespensation and Benefits: Enjoy competitive compensation and a robust benefits package, featuring generous time‑off provisions with at least 20 paid vacation days, flex time provisions and a valuable defined benefit pension plan.Work-Life Balance: Spend more time enjoying the lifestyle, recreation and culture of the West Kootenay region with a 35-hour work week.How to ApplyIf you have what it takes to fill this challenging and exciting position, please submit a cover letter and resume on our website at by November 5.Columbia Basin Trust values the rich and diverse cultures in the Columbia Basin and encourages applicants from all backgrounds and experiences to apply.
