SD No. 8 (Kootenay Lake) seeks a self-motivated, organized, innovative, creative, collaborative and dynamic Manager of Information Technology.
Under the direction of the Secretary-Treasurer, the Manager of Information Technology plays a vital role in ensuring our vision, mission and values are executed.
In this Information Technology role, the Manager of Information Technology :
- Supports effective use of technology to maximize twenty-first century student learning;
- Ensures each student is provided with a welcoming, caring, respectful and safe learning environment that respects
- diversity and fosters a sense of belonging;
- Provides exceptional technology service management for the district and strong human resources management for
Information Technology staff; and
Plays an active role in fiscal and asset management for Information Technology in the district.

Specific Candidate Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant post-secondary education, or equivalent of education and work
experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a public sector or large complex organization.
- Considerable experience and success with integrating new technologies and methodologies into a large organization.
Salary
The recruiting salary range for this role is $89,376 - $111,721. When determining salary, years of education and experience will be considered.
