The mission of the District Education Technology Team is to empower the entire learning communitystudents and staff to develop strong communication, collaboration, and technical skills.
These skills are essential for meaningful participation in our increasingly digital world. To support these efforts, the district is seeking an Education Technology Support Teacher to drive digital innovation and enhance teaching and learning.
This position, which reports to the District Principal of Education Technology, will be lead by the Education Technology Program Consultant.
Their responsibility is to facilitate the implementation of the District's Educational Technology Plan. Major areas of responsibility include : Digital Literacy and Digital Citizenship Provide professional development and support for teachers regarding the district's Digital Literacy and Citizenship program (K-12) Facilitate program implementation and delivery by coordinating with school administrators and teaching staff.
Communicating Student Learning Professional development and support for Communicating Student Learning (CSL) Tools. Technology Integration Support initiatives involving increased access to technology in the classroom (BYOD or 1-1 programs) Provide professional development and training around effective use of technology in the classroom.
Provide training for school-based technology liaisons around communicating with ITS and supporting staff use of technology.
Support use of digital tools for teaching and learning, including Microsoft 365. Digital Innovation Stay current on advancements in educational technology, including AI Support teachers as they explore innovative teaching methods and / or emerging digital tools.
