DUTIES
- The Purchasing Clerk will be responsible for purchasing related duties for the university. Duties include working closely with the Strategic Buyers to assist with managing and monitoring purchase orders, validating delivery schedules;
- handling purchase order issues including back orders; ensuring efficient and effective importing and exporting of goods through customs;
creating commodity codes, reviewing the open purchase order report; and performing other related duties as required. The incumbent will open call for bid preparation and public openings, receive goods and post documents to various websites.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (1-3 years) in procurement and related clerical work; completion of a three-year accounting program; or any equivalent combination of experience and training is required.
Knowledge of Banner Finance Accounting System would be an asset.
SALARY $49,308 - $57,841 per annum (CUPE Local 1615)
