Qualifications : Essential :
Experience performing clerical and administrative duties in an office environment.Experience performing accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable and / or reconciliations.Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and effectively manage deadlinesAbility to work with a high level of accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).Effective written communication skills with experience drafting and editing correspondence or other communications.Effective verbal communication skills to clearly and professionally communicate with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Experience with interpreting and applying legislation, regulations, policies and / or procedures.Desired :
Experience working with SAP or an equivalent software.Completion of an accredited program in business administration, law, or administrative support, as well as other relevant post-secondary education or training.Experience working in a social services related environment, especially in the area of child abuse, would be an assetDuties : This position interacts with the general public and a variety of professional and managerial staff. This position works as part of an administrative team providing support to a wide range of service delivery staff. Duties include : front reception; word processing a variety of confidential documents; preparing, setting up and maintaining file systems of various programs, recording attendance, processing incoming and outgoing mail, redirecting all telephone calls, written messages and other inquiries to staff. This position provides clerical / administrative support to other members of the administrative support team, as well as administrative support to a child abuse committee, including taking minutes and sending meeting notifations to all required attendees. Clerical financial duties, such as preparing invoices for payment, will be assigned if needed.
