In this role, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of our shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory functions while supporting the people and processes that keep production moving.This is an opportunity for an experienced supervisor who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, developing employees, and taking ownership of a busy materials operation.Key ResponsibilitiesAs Materials Supervisor, you'll oversee the flow of materials throughout the organization and lead the team responsible for making it happen. Your responsibilities will include:Leading day-to-day shipping, receiving, material handling, and warehousing operationsPlanning and coordinating inventory, purchasing, production support, and material requirementsManaging and developing materials personnel through coaching, training, delegation, and performance feedbackMonitoring inventory and material availability to help ensure production requirements are metIdentifying opportunities to improve material flow, inventory accuracy, efficiency, and safetyDeveloping and monitoring key performance indicators for materials operationsEstablishing and maintaining effective materials management proceduresWorking with other departments to address material requirements, priorities, and challengesInvestigating materials-related incidents and contributing to improvements in workplace safetyMaintaining accurate records, documentation, and other administrative requirementsEnsuring work is completed safely, accurately, and on scheduleQualificationsWe're looking for someone who can balance leadership, organization, and problem-solving in a fast-moving environment.
