Engineered systems you’ll be working with include plumbing systems, HVAC package systems, central plants, air distribution, hydronic systems, and associated controls.

• Perform calculations for design, such as air loads, pipe/duct/equipment sizing, ventilation requirements, static pressure, odor removal, life-cycle costs, and energy analyses.

• Work independently and make technical mechanical decisions based on building code interpretation and company standard practice.

• Select equipment, coordinate with equipment vendors, and edit specifications.

• Develop master plans and perform field investigations.

• Manage and coordinate work with architects, technicians, and engineers of other disciplines.

• Attend meetings and communicate with clients, vendors, and other project stakeholders to establish project needs and discuss design issues.

• Demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual project delivery, technical and client challenges, determining

• Determine technical objectives and requirements, organize programs and projects, and develop standards and guides for technical activities and applications.

Here's what you'll need

• 5+ years producing plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection design drawings and specifications for construction. Less experience in any one of these disciplines is not considered cause for disqualification. However, you will be required to work in all stated disciplines. Experience with odor control systems would be considered an asset.
