Financial Analyst (Financial Accounting)

About the Opportunity

· Carry out month end close activities such as: preparing reconciliations and analysis of assigned G/L accounts; monitoring monthly accruals of assigned G/L accounts; preparing journal entries as required.

· Assist quarterly reviews and annual audits by providing supporting schedules and resolving auditor enquiries.

· Maintain and update schedules tracking the lease portfolio and liability accruals, serving as the first point of contact for others in the business who need details in these areas.

· Directly coordinate with lease accounting software technical support in order to resolve issues and maintain an accurate subledger.

· Collaborate with other teams to get complete and accurate accrual adjustments; tracking which invoices have been received, already accrued for and which are pending.

· Investigate and resolve issues on a timely basis relating to financial data quality, unusual transactions, outstanding items and reconciling items, escalating to reporting manager and other stakeholders as necessary.

· Participate in projects that improve the accounting close cycle and support business decision making.

· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

About You

· Post-secondary education in Accounting

· Minimum 3 years’ industry experience in an accounting/finance role, reporting under IFRS or US GAAP

· CPA or pursuing designation is considered an asset

Pay Range

$51,595 - $75,000 per year
