The successful candidate will be a strategic and collaborative leader with a strong background in financial, operational, and people management. This role is pivotal in advancing the company's strategic priorities and long-term sustainability, and the Vice-President will be responsible for executive oversight of finance, operations, and human resources. Key responsibilities include leading the annual budgeting process, financial planning, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. The role also involves translating strategic priorities into operational plans, overseeing social enterprise activities, and strengthening organizational systems and processes. Applicants for the Vice-President of Finance & Operations position at the company should have a post-secondary degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a CPA designation, and 8-10 years' progressive leadership experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in senior-level financial management, including experience with a volunteer Board of Directors and managing government funding agreements. Strong strategic, operational, financial, and people leadership skills are essential, as is the ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 is required, and experience with Salesforce, QuickBooks, and in the non-profit or community-based sector is considered an asset. The role demands a high level of integrity, discretion, and professional judgment, and the candidate must be prepared to work in a dynamic environment that may require occasional travel and evening or weekend availability.
