As a trusted advisor, you’ll provide expertise to empower Indigenous communities, organizations, businesses and individuals in navigating a dynamic social, political and economic environment.
You’ll work closely with community partners to co-create solutions that reflect Indigenous values, priorities, and long-term goals. This is a dynamic opportunity to apply your financial expertise in a meaningful, community-driven context.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead economic development initiatives with Indigenous communities, including investment analysis; partnership negotiation support; major project transaction negotiation; investment strategy development; economic development corporation re-structuring and development of associated governance tools
- Develop and interpret financial models to support informed decision making for investments and partnerships
- Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure needs are met and relationships grow and develop
- Support proposal development, client engagement, and business development activities
- Maintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues or key risks relevant to the client’s business
- Network in the local business community, consider business development opportunities
- Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development
- Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
